Do you know our school life could be dangerous if we are not careful enough. For example,Last month,my friend Tom fight with a classmate. And Tom chase the classmate. By the time he run into the classmate , the classmate had already closed the door, so Tom hit the door, and then he send to the hospital soon, and he stay in hospital about two weeks.
So, we should know the important of the safe in school. Here are my suggestions. We can't fight with others. And we should get on well with our classmates. What's more, we should be carefully in our school life.
Let's keep safe in school, and have a better life!
On Taking CET Repeatedly
In recent years, many college students are laying greatness on CET exams. In order to get high marks in the exam many students aretaking CET lime and time again although they have passed it. When CET season approaches, campuses are filled with students occupied with CET preparations.
However, some people disapprove the idea of taking CET repeatedly for high scores. Although CET application fee is not high, taking the exams constantly can be a considerable financial burden. Moreover, its a waste of time to prepare for it every year, when you can do something more meaningful during the golden time in college. In addition, rather than focusing on CET, students should strive to develop other kinds of abilities.
As far as Tm concerned, its understandable to taking CET repeatedly for higher marks to be more competitive in the job market. If our future job requires a good mastery of English, we can step further to take high-level exams such as TOEFL or IELTS. But if it doesnt, we should not waste our lime and energy to take CET repeatedly.
Selecting Courses
Recently, people in growing numbers show their concern about selecting courses. In some colleges, students are permitted to pick out their courses professors freely. The reasons are listed as follows:
In the first place, students can choose the teacher according to their interests, which will be helpful for their future careers. Besides, selecting courses can reduce the rate of students absence indirectly for students usually choose their favorite teachers.
As far as I am concerned, every coin has two sides. On the one hand, students may learn the course better, because they may choose the professor they liked. On the other hand, if the professor who is very popular and a great number of students would like to attend his/her course, the classroom must be overcrowded. It will have a bad impact on the class.
In the era of We Media, citizens can publish and circulate information and opinions online, develop their own user profiles, and become independent "media entities."
调查显示,24.6%的受访者大量阅读网络上自媒体产出的内容(do a lot of reading generated by We Media)。 (Chicken Soup for the Soul)类(46.1%)和时政新闻(political news)类(38.4%)是最受受访者喜爱的自媒体内容。
调查还显示,45.8%的受访者认为自媒体有趣的内容(interesting content of We Media)最具吸引力,43%的受访者则认可自媒体采用的多样的表现形式及风格(varied forms and styles of presentation employed by We Media);20.7%的受访者称,他们通过自媒体发现了高质量、有思想的内容(high-quality and thoughtful content)。
Of all the elements that promote the development of our society, perhaps the most far-reaching has been invention. It is difficult to the point of impossibility for people to imagine a time without invention because it is the invention that enhances our society in all aspects.
Invention indeed plays an essential role in our life. Had it not been for it, we could not have lived in a modern society. Invention is momentous and fundamental to people what the soul is vital and significant to us. Given this, what can we do to cultivate this precious spirit ?
The measures, to my mind, are listed as following. To begin with, the authorities concerned should set up favorable laws and regulations to encourage invention. For example, we can set up the practice of giving premiums to inventors. What is more, the public are expected to realize the significance of invention, so that they can try their best to invent things. Last but not least, the press should place more value on invention. Though there is a long way to go, I firmly believe that our combined efforts will be rewarded at last.

Walking down a path through some woods in Georgia, I saw a water puddle ahead. I angled my direction to go around it. As I reached the puddle, I was suddenly attacked! Yet I did nothing for the attack was so unpredictable and from a source so totally unexpected. I was startled as well as unhurt, despite having been struck four or five times already. I backed up a foot and my attacker stopped attacking me. Instead of attacking more, he hovered in the air on graceful butterfly wings in front of me. Had I been hurt I wouldn’t have found it amusing, but I was unhurt, and I was laughing. After all, I was being attacked by a butterfly!
Having stopped laughing, I took a step forward. My attacker rushed me again. He rammed me in the chest with his head and body, striking me over and over again with all his might, still to no avail.
For a second time, I retreated a step while my attacker relented in his attack. Yet again, I tried moving forward. My attacker charged me again. I was rammed in the chest over and over again. I wasn’t sure what to do, other than to retreat a third time. After all, it’s just not everyday that one is attacked by a butterfly. This time, though, I stepped back several paces to look the situation over. My attacker moved back as well to land on the ground. That’s when I discovered why my attacker was charging me only moments earlier. He had a mate and she was dying. She was beside the puddle where he landed.Sitting close beside her, he opened and closed his wings as if to fan her.
I could only admire the love and courage of that butterfly in his concern for his mate. He had taken it upon himself to attack me for his mate’s sake, even though she was clearly dying and I was so large. He did so just to give her those extra few precious moments of life, should I have been careless enough to step on her.
Now I knew why and what he was fighting for. There was really only one option left for me. I carefully made my way around the puddle to the other side of the path, though it was only inches wide and extremely muddy. His courage in attacking something thousands of times larger and heavier than himself just for his mate’s safety justified it. I couldn’t do anything other than reward him by walking on the more difficult side of the puddle. He had truly earned those moments to be with her, undisturbed. I left them in peace for those last few moments, cleaning the mud from my boots when I later reached my car. Since then, I’ve always tried to remember the courage of that butterfly whenever I see huge obstacles facing me.
I use that butterfly’s courage as an inspiration and to remind myself that good things are worth fighting for.
we have all heard of the sort of person who drives fifty miles into the country, finds some perfectly delightful beauty sopt beside a quiet lake and then spends the rest of the day cleaning his car. compared with those terrible friends, the litter-bugs and noise-makers, this innocent creature can only be an object of admiration. he interferes with no one’s pleasure. far from it:afterall, cleanliness is said to be net to godliness. it is the noise-makers who invade the quietest corners of the earth that must surely win the prize for insensitivity. they announce their arrival with a flourish that would put the royal heralds to shame. blaring music(never classical) seems to emanate mysteriously from their persons and their possessions. if you travel up the remotest reaches of the amazon, surviving attacks by crocodiles and vicious piranha, don’t be surprised if you hear cheering crowds and football commentary shattering the peace of the jungle. it is only one of our friends with his little transistor radio. the transistor radio, that great wonder of modern technology, often no bigger than matchbo, must surely be the most hideous and diabolic of all human inventions.
people are arrested, fined, imprisoned, deported, certified as insane or eecuted for being public nuisances. you can’t loiter outside a shop for five minutes or sing the opening bars of figaro in public without arousing the suspicion of every policeman in the neighborhood. but you can walk on to a beach or into a park and let all hell loose with your little transistor and no one will turn a hair-no one in authority, that is. most of the people around you will be writhing in agony, but what can they do about it? have you ever tried asking the surly owner of a transistor to turn it off? this is what will happen if you do: you will either be punched on the nose for your impertinence, or completely ignored. after that you can be sure that the radio will be turned up louder than ever before.
noise is one of the most unpleasant features of modern life. who knows that it invisibly contributes to irritability and stress? governments everywhere go to tremendous lengths to reduce noise. traffic sounds are carefully measured in decibels; levels of tolerance are recorded and statistics produced to provide the basis for future legislation.elaborate and epensive tests are conducted to find out our reactions to supersonic bangs. this is all very commendable, but surely the interest in our welfare is misplaced. people adjusted to the more obvious sources of noise ages ago. it is the less obvious sources that need attention. and the transistor radio is foremost among them. it is impossible to adjust to the transistor radio because the noise it produces is never the same: it can be anything from a brass band to a news commentary. being inconsiderate is not a crime. but interfering with other people’s pleasure certainly should be. it is ridiculous that the lawy should go on allowing this indecent assault on our ears.
When I was very young, I could just say “mom, dad”. My mother began to give me some picture books and story books. She let me know how to read those books and told me stories, which were from the story books. Pictures and books were so fresh for me! Though thin and simple, they were full of funny stories and knowledge. They brought me, a little girl, a colorful world.
Parents also bought me a lot of toys at that time, but I liked only books. I always asked my parents for books and asked them to explain the contents(内容) to me. I always asked them a lot of questions: “Why can the bird fly?”, “Why is the sky blue?”, “Why are the leaves green?” and so on. My father told me that books were our good friends and they could help us answer questions. So I liked reading books better, and was thirsty for more knowledge, and always regarded books as my best friends.
Now I am a middle school student. In my free time, I read different books and learn a lot of different, important and interesting knowledge every day.
Books are the sources of wisdom, the sea of the knowledge, the steps towards improvements for human!
Books are my loyal friends!
